I'm Heather...obviously! I have such a hard time writing in these "about me" sections. I'm not one to really talk about myself. I'll do my best! But anyway...I'm a full time labor & Delivery Nurse. Lover of food. Mother of 3 little wild ones and a wife to my amazing fireman husband. That's him and I right there on the left of the screen. He's amazing. He supports me in all I do and without his love none of this would be possible. Him and I met nearly 10 years ago in the military, Air Force, and it was truly love at first sight. Since then, our lives have completely transformed into something truly amazing. God has certainly blessed us.
My photography adventure started about 6 years ago simply wanting to photograph my newborn son and documenting our life. Nothing more. I wanted to be able to take pictures for my family that could be treasured for many years to come. Since then, It's turned into something so much more deeply personal than that. I dove head first into learning everything I possibly could and had some pretty AMAZING mentors along the way. I can't possibly take credit for everything I know about photography. But, I wanted to give the gift of freezing irreplaceable moments in time. I was able to do that for my family...but, I wanted it for my friends. Then, I wanted it for other people. When I photograph your family, I photograph you like I would my own. I put my whole heart into it. I want to capture all the little things. That sweet baby curl. The dimple on a cheek. The way your baby snuggles into your chest. I want to capture not only the way a moment looks, but the way that it FEELS. I'm not your traditional "stand there, look at me and say cheese" photographer. Sure, I'll make sure we get those poses for your grandma though! But, I truly want to capture you WITH your family. Don't worry about me! I want you just the way you are. Lots of movement, lots of tickle fests, lots of laughter and genuine smiles. Those are the moments you'll want to treasure forever. Until then, thank you for stopping by and I cant wait to capture your sweet family.
A few Snipits of my work over the last year. REAL emotions. REAL moments. REAL life.
